A seasoned Managing Director with more than 20 years of leadership experience in hotel operations management, Steven Kalczynski (SP) joined Lotte Hotel Seattle in March 2023 following a 10-year tenure as Managing Director of The Townsend Hotel in Birmingham, Michigan. Steven also has worked in senior positions with Peninsula Hotels & Shangri-la in China, Oberoi Hotels in Mumbai, India, the St Regis & Luxury Collection brands in the USA along with Regional responsibilities with Starwood Hotels & Resorts.
In his position, he drives forward our mission to deliver exceptional guest experiences while maintaining a dynamic and convivial environment for all employees. Since his arrival, Lotte Hotel Seattle has been rated the #1 hotel in Seattle on TripAdvisor and earned the prestigious MICHELIN Key Award.
Ian Ring brings more than 20 years of hospitality experience to Lotte Hotel Seattle. As Director of Sales & Marketing, he leads the business development and execution of the hotel’s sales initiatives while ensuring an unmatched guest experience.
Ring has worked with some of the most prestigious brands in the industry, including Hyatt Hotels, where he was named “Manager of the Year."
With more than 15 years of experience in employee relations, training, and talent acquisition, Elena Hoxter is credited with fostering and championing an inclusive and engaged workforce that prizes service excellence and operational success.
A bilingual member of the hotel’s Executive Committee, she has held prestigious positions such as Sr. Director of People and Culture at Columbia Hospitality and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Business Management.
Appointed Director of Finance in April 2024, Kin Tsang joined the hotel in March 2023 as Assistant Director of Finance. Previously, he was the Assistant Regional Director of Finance for The Economist Group (Asia-Pacific) Ltd, from 2015 to 2021 and, subsequently, served as a consultant. He is a certified public accountant and earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Accounting at the University of Florida.
Tsang has served in various financial leadership positions in the hospitality industry, including W Guangzhou Hotel, Sheraton Shanghai Pudong Complex Hotel, and Sheraton Hong Kong Hotel & Towers.
Named Director of Engineering in October 2023, Kirk Andersen oversees the hotel’s R&M, capital, and security operations. His career spans 25 years in facility management, including previous positions at Jackson Hewitt, where he managed 840 store locations and their construction program.
Andersen holds a B.A. in Business Administration and an M.B.A. from Columbia College, and a Master’s in Construction Management from New England Institute of Technology.
Coming from his many culinary roles leading up to Executive Chef, Alexander draws on more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry. His past positions include prestigious properties such as The Wynn in Las Vegas and multiple resorts in Hawaii. He has opened and operated seven eateries in Southern California with The Prjkt Restaurant Group, earning the Golden Foodie Award for “Best Californian Cuisine” from 2012 to 2016.
In his position as Hotel Manager, Alexander Dale is responsible for all Culinary and Food & Beverage, and Rooms operations.
